Terms & Conditions

Lessons are one a one to one, or group basis. All lessons are offered at the studio in Union Street, Aberdeen.
Upon agreement to take lessons, you will be allocated a regular slot and you are then committing to continuing with the allocated time. If you wish to stop lessons, please advise your tutor in writing four weeks prior to the date you wish to stop.

Lessons are currently £17 per 30 minutes, £28 per hour.  Lessons are payable four in advance. An invoice will be issued on the week prior to payment being due. Payment is by cash, cheque or bank transfer only. Cheques should be made payable to your tutor.

Cancellations given out with 48 hours will not be charged and the cancelled lesson will be re allocated to the next block. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be charged at the current rate. If we cancel a lesson, the lesson will be re allocated to the following block.

If you fail to attend your lesson you will be charged at the normal lesson rate. If you are late for your slot, we always try to ensure you still receive the full amount of time, but we cannot guarantee this if there are students coming directly after you. If you fail to attend your slot for 2 or more weeks without giving prior notice, we will assume you no longer require the slot and will offer it as available. You will also be invoiced for the 4 week cancellation period.

Lessons continue throughout the school holidays. If you are not going to be attending during the schools holidays we will allow a period of 4 weeks grace, after which you will be required to pay for the remaining time until you return. we cannot keep slots open if you do not pay for the remaining time.

We will provide all the equipment required for lessons, with the exception of music books and manuscript paper, which can be bought at the local music shops. We politely ask that students treat the equipment in the studio with respect. Breakages such as drumsticks, strings and heads are common and students will not be expected to replace any such items if they break whilst they are using them with care and respect. Any misuse of equipment will not be tolerated and a charge may be made if a breakage is caused through misuse or abuse.

The practise room is available on a first come first served basis and is free to use for all students. The use of the room is done at the students own risk, and we ask that any breakages are reported to us promptly.

If you have any concerns or complaints about the services we offer or the manner in which we conduct our lessons, please come and speak to us and we will always do our best to rectify the problem.

All our tutors hold a full and up to date Disclosure Scotland certificate. If you wish to see these please ask and we will be happy to let you see them.
